CUPA PIZARRAS has extended its Thermoslate range of solar collector systems. The newest addition, Thermoslate Technical Solar Floor, is said to subtly integrate into façades, flat roofs and terraces, and to provide even more options for sustainably meeting the heating and hot water needs of a property. It combines the aesthetic and design advantages of natural slate with the benefits of generating clean, renewable energy. The Thermoslate collectors are installed beneath natural slate tiles and harness the excellent solar absorption properties of the material to deliver up to twothirds of a household’s heating and hot water requirements. The system also features an innovative, modular design that makes it easily scalable and completely undetectable once installation is complete. Thermoslate Technical Solar Floor can be installed beneath walkable surfaces such as terraces, saving space around the building. Oscar Caride, product manager at CUPA PIZARRAS, explained: “The Thermoslate range allows homeowners to benefit from the energy saving advantages of a solar thermal installation while still retaining the high quality finish of natural slate. Thermoslate Technical Solar Floor opens up a range of new options for integrating renewable energy solutions into both new build and refurbishment projects.” www.cupapizarras.com/uk/ther moslate Focus on Latest Products New products Abode taps steel the show in modern kitchens aïr, a range of bi-fold and lift and slide doors, has added a new ultraslim minimal frame sliding door to its product range – the aïr 20SL.
